YRBK cover.

I believe we should go with a video game theme for the 2010/2011 yearbook. I believe this because almost everyone in the

school has played a video game before, be it on an Xbox, PS3, an app on an ipod or a flash game on the internet, video games are viral.

My idea for the cover of this years yearbook is like what google did this year on the anniversary of Pac-man. What I suggest is that instead of having a yellow Pac-man we turn him into a icon representing a phoenix. We could also keep the phoenix pac-man throughout the book eating page numbers, hiding behind pictures, or hiding in general. We would only be saying LCI instead of Lakeshore Collegiate for size reasons. If wanted we could change the layout to spell out the full school name but I believe that would feel to crowded and instead we can have the full name on the spine of the book with the phoenix chasing it. The back cover would be blank except for the phoenix eating its orange balls along the bottom of the page. I am not stuck on any one thing for my design so I am okay with suggestions to change little things like replacing the Pac-man pellets with something

school related, or adding the ghost enemies. Maybe have one representing each Principle or VP.

Section name titles could be referenced to games that correspond with that subject. For example the Student Council page could somehow reference Sims and have the classic green diamond thing above one or all of the members names. Each club or team could act like its own video game from any era. For department pages we could have each one a high score page on an old arcade machine having the course code for the courses they teach beside their names or a picture.

I believe this cover would go over well with the general populous of the school because it keeps the book simple and relatable.
